The New Year Begins!

And so the New Year begins!!

I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and New New Year!! 

The year has just started and I'm run off my feet already!! (not that I'm complaining)

So many things to plan and shows to create!!

I have decided on quite a few New Years resolutions actually!

After running the 'Miss Summer Bright' Model search competition, I am re-motivated to start my mission to a competition quality body! 

This means, strict but all organic and healthy diet, regular exercise and a hell of a lot of water!

I think i can do it! I competed in a bodybuilding competition 3 years ago and made it to the NSW titles so there is no reason why i can't do it again! Right?

With some of my most beautiful friends having stunning bodies, toned and lean figures i cant help but want to join them and buddy up at the gym!

It will take a lot of hard work and self-motivation, but i will keep my sights set for the end results where i can see my determination and persistence paid off!

I will keep you updated with regular check-ins and pictures!! 

I have to be at the weight and fitness level i want to maintain for a lifetime within 4 months! 

I will tell you why soon!! :)

Heading into the months of 2012, i must say that Wednesday nights at the Bank Hotel (click here) is the highlight of my BUSY week!

I meet so many amazing people and have the most craziest conversations! 

I love it!

The nights are heating up with my gorgeous girls on the podiums teasing all sexy single girls out there!

It's my absolute favourite drink! Vodka, Malibu and Pink Grapefruit Juice! 

This dusty pink taste-bud sensation is to die for! I promise I'm not being bias but if you don't get your hands on one of these cocktails, you are missing out! 

This year is going to be so much Fun, I'm performing the FIRST Wednesday of the Month, EVERY month at Bank Hotel- Newtown and every month i will surprise you with something different to keep you wanting more!! That's if you don't mind me doing so ;-p

The Lady L Crew are such a big support and i love them so much!

I have my own merchandise launching this year as well, with the cutest Lady L, lesbian on the loose tees and singlets!! I know you want a piece of this so i will keep you all updated when we launch that out! YAY!

What else has been happening... OH! Yes, next week i am off to one of my most favourite Part of Australia.. Queensland!!! 

My gorgeous man Dave from Gay Gold Coast and the beautiful Rebekah, triathlete and ambassador are stealing me away for two days, apparently there will be cameras and a film crew!

 I wonder what surprises are awaiting me this time!! 

You know when you meet certain people and you just 'click' you feel like you have known them a lifetime and you just cant get enough of their love? 

My friends of the coast are just that and boy i cant wait to sprinkle my Lady Love on the Gold Coast! 

Who is a Gold Coast reader?? 

I will be checking into a Gold Coast club when I'm up so let me know if you are out i would love to meet you!!!

I will be jamming with my talented musicians this week and next, putting together a great show for you all!

It has been a while since i have updated the Lady L Lets Loose Blog! Forgive me! I know you will :-)
Things have been so super busy coming into the 'festive' season!
I have been running around like a 'Mad Lady!'

I hope you are all looking forward to the Christmas break and have got some wonderful things planned!
I love Christmas, its my favourite time of the year! We get to eat great food and have an excuse for the extra 5 kilos! But, my absolute favourite part is giving! You know when you buy that special someone a little something special whether it be your parents, partner, soul mate, brother, sister or best friend and you just cant wait to see their face when they open it! Its the best feeling when a thought that comes in a solid form can make someone so happy!
Not so exciting if they don't like it though! ;-p

Christmas With Lady L

Christmas is my favourite time of year!

Full of smiles, laughs, gifts, love and lots of amazing food! Its an excuse to eat drink and be merry right?
The are so many exciting things happening this Christmas, i have to share it with all of you as i don't want anyone to miss out on some spectacular shows and events!!
This time of year has come around way to fast and in no time we will be living in 2012! Where does time go! To all my single and ladies in love, what will you be doing this Christmas? Feast with friends? Beach BBQ? Family Lunch?

Here's what's on Lady L's platter this Christmas!

So this month i have a very fun photo shoot happening (Christmas theme) of course with my wonderful photographer Tyrone David and my loyal makeup artist, stylist very good friend Nick Brown!
I am so excited to show you guys the pics from the shoot- tinsel, glitter, candy canes, Mrs. Clause and so many more things i will be playing with! Make sure you keep your eye out as the photo you guys vote as your favourite will be the photo chosen for the LOTL magazine Lady L Christmas edition. Where you all get to come and meet me and participate in a very fun photo shoot of your own!

I will also be appearing at Lemons with a Twist on the 2nd December.

December will be touched by a lot of Lady L love around Sydney with a very special Christmas performance on the 21st of December at Bank Hotel Newtown! Lady L Visits The Gold Coast

Have you ever dreamt of being on a tropical island filled with lush colourful plants, warm ocean surrounds, hot sun and the most amazing scenery you can imagine? 

Well now just add a gorgeous DJ, Eye Candy podium dancers, girls in Bikinis EVERYWHERE! Delicious BBQ'd goodness, open bar, rainbow balloons and so much more!!

The Hello Sailor cruise was just FAB! 

The crowd of people that went were a great mix! As usual there were more guys than there were girls but in saying that, there were a great number compared to other events!

The cruise took off and the DJ ripped up some fresh tracks as we glid along the ocean to our survivor island destination! Drinks were had and the girls got wild!

As the boat pulled up to the island, it was like we had found a secret hideaway! 

As we walked through the rainbow covered archway into a tropical dance party like no other everyone got to know each other..........very well!! :-)

There were Jet skis, kayaks, seaplanes, portable spas, mermaids and so much more!

The weather was perfect and watching the sunset over the horizon was magic!

I was lucky enough to meet some GREAT people!

On board was our two lucky LOTL winners who won two tickets to the Hello Sailor Cruise

She says: "OMG I dont know what to say but THANK YOU SO MUCH....My wife and I had a great weekend away to Surfers to see Hello Sailor! Thank you soooooo much for a sensational weekend xxxxx"

These girls had a blast! I was very lucky to have met these two beautiful women! 

The story they shared was so heart-felt it bought tears to my eyes! 

I take my hat off to you both as your strength, courage and wisdom was more than an inspiration.

The BEAUTIFUL boys from DNA Magazine; Brodie and Rob were the Perfect partners on the trip! 

Definitely found friends for a lifetime! They made this trip absolutely wonderful and weren't they easy on the eyes! ;-)

All in all, my Gold Coast weekend was filled with laughs, new friends, catching up with old ones, way too many photos and a new love for yet another part of the country!

Girls and guys i recommend you check this out for next year! Its not to be missed!!

Lady L's Followers Pop The Question!

Its not often I get asked a question like this one but i thought it was one of those questions which most girls are interested in reading about!

Via the Lady L Fan page on facebook; http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lady-L/246679132031864 a question was asked- "Lady L, my girlfriend and I are wanting to get into great shape and start some healthy eating habits. What is it that you specifically do to stay in good shape? "

So, i really like this question because a healthy body is a healthy mind and visa versa!
Its amazing how much a negative mind can impact the state of your body! So i will start by saying that first thing is first- Make the commitment! Decide what it is you are wanting to achieve and then work out your game plan!

It is important that you understand what steps you need to take in order for you to reach your final destination and be clear to yourself on each stepping stone!
Write up on your wall or a daily reminder on your phone of what you are aiming to achieve on a daily basis. for example; TODAY: Gym 1.5 hours, Abide by set meal plan and obtain a minimum of 8 hours sleep. At the end of each day if you have achieved your goals, make sure you reward yourself! Not with chocolate of course but something that will make you feel good about powering through your stepping stones to reach your ultimate goal!

Now that you have put yourself in the right frame of mind and have set your goals, ensuring you remain motivated and committed to reaching what you have set yourself. You then need to set in your meal plan! It is important to remember that your diet makes up for 80% of your weight loss or 'get fit' mission. and the other 20% is your exercise! I cant tell you how important your food consumption is and how the quality of food you consume determines the quality of health you achieve.
Your diet is THE MOST important thing and you must remain faithful to it and stick it out to really feel the results! Eating unprocessed, natural and organic foods will immediately provide you more energy, more buzz, more stamina, endurance and also untoxify your body.
A proper meal plan should be sourced form your personal trainer or someone in the nutrition industry so you gain maximum support. However all bodies are different and need different things, the main points i will suggest are as follows:

- All organic produce
- Do not add any salt or sugar to your meals
- GREEN veggies are a MUST and LOTS OF!
- Minimum of 400g of protein a day! (Chicken, Steak, Fish, Turkey etc)
- Do not consume any foods containing artificial colours or preservatives
- Drink at least 2 litres of water per day!
- Keep your carbs to a minimum
- Allow yourself a 'treat' day so you aren't going to crave
- STAY FOCUSED!

There are so many things which factor in to a healthy lifestyle, such as maintaining a well rested sleeping pattern, No smoking, limited drinking, regular exercise, limiting small stresses in your life, balanced diet, positive mindset and so many more!

I exercise as often as i can and only eat natural foods which i know will provide me with all the nutrition i need for my daily schedule. Its important for me to stay fit and healthy as it keeps my mind active.
I make sure that i am fully hydrated everyday, so i carry with me the 1.5 litre bottle of water everywhere i go. As i am training to compete next year in a sculpting competition (which you will be hearing more about soon) i need a large amount of protein in my diet for my weekly training.
It all comes together once you have locked your stepping stones together to create your game plan for your ultimate goal!

The Happiness Attitude By Lady L

How does she do it? Lady L has her ways of always being able to turn a frown into a smile and its time to share her secrets of how to create happiness in your life when things get TOUGH!
We sat exclusively with Lady L and had a chat with her about how she does it!
We uncovered some secret stories about our Lady L and how she got through some tough battles!
She is an inspiration to many in how she is constantly smiling and maintains a positive attitude every single day.
Helping others to also reach their ultimate happiness this isn't an article you would want to miss!!

So Lady L, what was the turning point for you when you decided to take action in being a positive, energetic and such an inspiring person?


"Oh, well i guess the energizing and inspiring part all comes with the choice of being positive.
It's amazing what can change for you when you make an attitude choice.
I guess for me, it was a time in my life that i realised how unhappy i was in a world where i was living to try and please everyone else and look after everyone else's needs and ignoring what my own heart desired.
I was exhausted day in and day out as the things i enjoy most in life were not being exposed to sunlight. I found myself in a relationship where i felt drained of my positiveness.
It's tough to remain happy when you are held back from doing the things in life that you enjoy and that are important in making you 'feel good'.
As anyone would, i got tired of being unhappy and although i would be breaking two hearts, i knew i would be making the same two hearts much happier in the long run by making a decision for ME. Which was to begin a whole new journey starting with HAPPINESS and introducing the things that make me smile into my life so that when i wake every morning i have no excuse not to be happy!"

So what do you do to stay happy and positive? 

"To be honest with you, its really very simple!
Happiness is a choice, just like every other emotion! I wake up each morning and decide what mood i would like to wear, its just like choosing what you would like to wear for the day. Its amazing what good things happen when you are able to mentally put yourself in a state of mind which will deliver you positivity, energy, enthusiasm, excitement and so much more! I know it sounds silly but take this quote for example; "Nothing has meaning, except the meaning you give it" What i mean by this is, we are all very different, we all have a different up-bringing, different opinions, different systems and different thoughts so the way we view a certain object, situation or event will never be truly the same as another because we are drawing our reactions from different life experiences and from what we have taught ourselves growing up. Does that make sense? So really what I'm getting at is regardless of all of these elements, we all have one 1 thing in common and that is the ability to make a decision. To give any meaning we want to something!
We can all decide on how we react to something or how we feel about something, we all have the ability to wake up each morning just like i do and be whatever person we want to be."

How do you deal with really TOUGH situations? 


"Again, this will be different for everyone,  but the one thing i always say is it takes courage to accept the things you cannot change and wisdom to know the difference. Take from that what you will but i will never waste my time or energy on things that i have no control over, i will deal with it and then move right on. In saying that though, i do believe its just as important to give whatever negative situation you find yourself in the right amount of 'dealing' time. So that the issue is either completed or resolved.
Be strong, tough times are times of learning. There is always a lesson to be learnt or a reason for it happening. In every negative situation there is a positive, you just have to find it and when you do i can bet you will surprise yourself! When i lost my father i spent two years in complete misery and continued to be a helpless wreck, i was so used to feeling empty, i was too afraid to smile or feel good as i felt this guilt wash over me. In the end, i realised that the world was moving on around me, people came and went, multiple birthdays were had, new friends were made and there i was, so far behind it wasn't funny! It wasn't me! The next day i got up, i looked in the mirror and decided right there and then exactly who i want to be as a person. my morals, my values, my charisma, my stride, my presence. From that day forward i haven't looked back, i did it for me and i know he is proud!"

What's one piece of advice you could give to help our readers achieve their ultimate happiness?


"Ah, don't you love the advice question! (laughs) Well, I'm a motormouth so ONE piece of advice is a tough call! Ah, you know what just be true to yourselves, know what it is that makes you smile and make sure you get a dose of it everyday! We all get so caught up in wanting things we don't have but no one stops to think about the things we don't have that we don't want!  Always remember that YOU are YOUR OWN NUMBER ONE! If you do not believe that, you will end up being one very unhappy person. Always persist to achieve your goals and don't ever lose sight of what you truly want in life! After all, we only live once! Just Live, Lust, Laugh and Love! (giggles)
